distant voices over time

calling me to a memory

pleading with me to proceed

i have mysterious thoughts of grey

i turned to look and it went away

rose petal memories

feelings in the trees

scrapbooks in the clouds

and the ghosts

they scream out loud

shadows in the brain

causing a refrain

secrets that were kept

fleeing from regret

unlocking

is a beautiful thing

freeing the voice

from within
